Functional Training

 

The program is designed based on functional movements, emphasizing good technique, posture, and performed at high intensity, with different workouts each session.

Functional movements are:

  • Universal Motor Recruitment Patterns, found everywhere in daily life, from carrying a shopping bag to recreation and sports, they are built naturally into our DNA, therefore they are SAFE and ESSENTIAL for quality of life and independent living.
  • They are performed from CORE to EXTREMITY.
  • They are MULTI – JOINT.
  • They get the body, or external loads moved, efficiently, effectively and quickly from one place to another.

In each session of 45 minutes, we will be working on :

  • Mobilization: Proper joint mobility is essential to prevent injuries.
  • Activation: Activate muscles and improve overall posture.
  • Core: A strong core will protect your spine, prevent injuries, and improve performance/quality of life.
  • Metabolic Conditioning: Circuit training will improve your cardiovascular system for better performance, overall health, and quality of life.

The Functional Training program is for everyone at any level, regardless of experience or ability level. By using different movement progressions, we are able to scale the workout accordingly to each committed individual.
